The Common Roots Jazz Ensemble

Featuring original traditional jazz compositions from Mitch Mirkin, and performed by a select group of accomplished jazz cats, Mitch released his second offering on Adobo Records.

In 2020, Adobo Records was proud to bring some diversity to the label, with the addition of The Common Roots Jazz Ensemble. Playing original traditional jazz compositions from Mitch Mirkin, with the group’s second CD release, “The Madison Avenue Shul,” the group went the more storied jazz route.

The group had just finished recording their third release “Rebound” in March of 2022 when they were struck with awful news. Mitch Mirkin had suddenly passed away. We had just obtained Mitch’s approval of the final finished master mixes a day or two before he left us.

Plans are in the works, after an appropriate interval, to go ahead and release his final CD “Rebound.” Stay tuned for release information.

For the time being, any or all of the tracks of The Madison Avenue Shul can be purchased for download from our Store, any or all tracks, and all tracks are listenable on your favorite streaming service and on YouTube. The YouTube links for the tracks follow:
